About We Say Asé

Embrace Your Journey to Identity (Re)formation

We Say Asé is a creative wellness space dedicated to nurturing healing, embodiment, and emotional expression among Black young adults across the globe.

We believe that art is a form of liberation and when we allow ourselves to be curious, try on new ways of being and expression in creative and intuitive ways, we are exclaiming and living in our asé.

Asé is a Yoruba expression that represents the power, seen and unseen, that make things happen and produce change.

With curiosity, exploration, and healing in mind, we are creating our collective asé.

Our mission is to provide a safe space for emerging individuals to access the transformative power of somatic-based art practices on their unique paths to identity (re)formation. We understand the profound impact that exploring and questioning holds for people of the African diaspora, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

OUR BELIEFS & CORE VALUES

Holistic Healing

We believe in the inherent connection between the mind, body, and soul. Our practices are designed to guide you toward holistic healing and self-discovery.

Art as Liberation

Art isn't just an activity; it's a form of liberation. We're here to encourage you to embrace creativity as a tool for expressing your emotions and stories.

Questioning and Exploration

We honor the process of (re)formation. We invite you to question, explore, and challenge, as you weave your narrative as a part of the African diaspora.
